Subclass 15.9
This subclass authorizes construction work which is not reserved exclusively for master pipe-mechanics and which concerns refrigeration systems for air conditioning purposes, the cooling capacity of which does not exceed 20 kW and which uses a refrigerant classified in group A1 , A2 or a mixture thereof, according to the classification provided in the table on the classification of refrigerants and charges of the Mechanical Refrigeration Code (CSA B-52) published by the Canadian Standards Association.
It also authorizes construction work relating to devices allowing the heating and air conditioning of a forced air system, the power of which does not exceed 40 kW and which use a refrigerant referred to in the first paragraph, on condition that the contractor or also the holder of the appropriate subclass 15.1, 15.1.1, 15.7 or 15.8.
In addition, this subclass authorizes construction work relating to devices allowing the heating and air conditioning of a hydronic system, the power of which does not exceed 40 kW and which use a refrigerant referred to in the first paragraph, on condition that the The entrepreneur also holds the appropriate subclass 15.4 or 15.4.1.
It also authorizes similar or related construction work.
Additional explanations
This subclass is fully included in subclass 15.10.
This subclass, without going beyond the regulatory framework , authorizes in particular construction work relating to:
- air-to-air conditioners
- to room air conditioners
- monobloc or bi-bloc central air conditioners.
Please note that work relating to air distribution falls under either subclass 15.7 or subclass 15.8. Entrepreneurs holding the subclass 15.1 or 15.1.1 may also perform work relating to the air distribution network when the latter is part of a heating system.
Construction work on an electrical installation is reserved exclusively for contractors or owner-builders holding subclass 16.0.
Work that does not require a license
No license is required for the work:
